The NOC Competition is guided by the Central Audio - Visual Education Center, sponsored by the China Educational Technology Association and the China Invention Association, supported by the National Intellectual Property Administration, the Department of Teacher Affairs of the Ministry of Education, and the Second Department of Basic Education of the Ministry of Education, and organized by the China Information Technology Education Magazine and the Innovation Times Magazine. Since its inception, more than 58 million teachers and students have participated.
Participation Scope
1.Participation Groups: Primary School Group, Junior High School Group, Senior High School Group (including secondary vocational schools).
2.Number of Participants: Limited to 2 people per team.
3.Instructor: Limited to 1 person (can be vacant).
4.Restriction: Each person is only allowed to participate in one event and one team.
Competition Schedule
●Preliminary Round: From March 15, 2017, to May 15, 2017.
According to the ranking of the results of each group by the local organizing committee, 40% of the participants will be short - listed for the semi - final.
●Semi - final Round: From May 20, 2017, to May 30, 2017.
According to the ranking of the results of each group by the local organizing committee, the number of participants short - listed for the on - site final will be determined according to the quota set by the national organizing committee.
Competition Environment
● Software Environment:
1．Operating System: Windows 7 or above, or any version of MAC OS.
2．Programming System: Roboterrain CastleRock 2.0 online platform.
● Hardware Environment：
1．At the final site, computers for on - site programming will be provided. Participants are not allowed to bring any tools that can copy files into the competition site.
2．For robots brought into the competition site, their controllers must be "reset", that is, there should be no programs in the controllers.。
Registration
Participants must register online through the competition platform on the NOC website (www.noc.net.cn). The registration deadline is March 10, 2017.。
